《卫报》2月18日报道,一项全国性测试表明,澳洲的学生在公民教育方面的理解能力已降至历史最低水平。

这项测试由澳洲统一课程考评与报告管理局(Australian Curriculum, Assessment & Reporting Authority,Acara)组织,旨在评估学生对公民教育和公民权利的“态度及参与程度”。

测试结果显示,仅有43%的六年级学生达到熟练水平,而在2019年,这一比例为53%。

更令人担忧的是,在该测试中达到熟练标准的十年级学生只有28%,相较2019年的38%降幅明显,这也是自2004年该评估开始以来的最低水平。

就在本月,一个议会委员会建议推广一套统一且强制性的公民与公民教育课程。

该委员会指出,在全球的民主制度面临日益加剧的疏离、不信任、虚假信息和误导性信息的挑战的同时,实施强制投票制度的澳洲情况尤为严峻。

在为十年级学生设计的在线模拟测试中,Acara引入了哲学思考,考题也涵盖了从多元文化主义到抗议法的多个主题。
